I bought this a few months back and it’s friggen awesome.

High-definition multi-media adapter

Turn your USB drive into an HD media player

Store your HD content on a USB drive. Plug the drive in and play HD movies, digital music and family photos on your TV. It’s as easy as 1-2-3.

$99-$125

  2. Apparently, WDTV Media player cannot support RM/RMVB (real media video formats). And it does not include HDMI cable, which itself is worth at least $10 or maybe $50, depending on where you buy it from. Its external HDD does not automatically power down when the media player is off.

In comparison with Mvix Ultio, it even supports 1080 videos in RM/RMVB formats. HDMI cable is included on its assortment of cables inside the package. One can also purchase Mvix Ultio with a built-in HDD. No need to manually turn off each device. BTW, Mvix Ultio can support up to 1.5-TB HDD.

I should know. I have both players. I bought one as a birthday gift to myself. The other was given as a gift. Which did I buy? I will not leave a clue. 😉
